At the 2012 Twilight Dinner, more than 150 items were auctioned off, which gave the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association the opportunity to reward the following organizations with funds that promote enrichment and improved quality of life in Meridian-Kessler.
2012-2013 MKNA Vi Walker Neighborhood Grant Recipients
- Arts for Learning ($1,000): Story Telling Art Program to engage seniors with students in neighborhood schools
- Coburn Place ($1,000): Summer Camp Program for resident children of Coburn Place
- IPS Center for Inquiry #84 ($1,000): Gardening tools
- IPS Montessori #91 (1,300): Supplies for Recycled Art Garden (Tools, Plants, Mulch, etc.)
- Outdoor Youth Academy ($500): Fall Creek Clean-Up
- Second Helpings ($2,000): Hunger Relief Program
- The Oaks Academy ($2,500): Student Scholarship Fund
- Womack Church ($1,000): Youth Community Outreach Program
